Conference Aims

The mission of the CITC (Construction In the Twenty First Century)  Conferences is to facilitate communication between multi-disciplinary teams, especially those involved in engineering, management and technology. In this regard, interdisciplinary integration and international cooperation are encouraged. It is the purpose of CITC to provide an international forum for the discussion of topics important to developing new knowledge in construction and engineering disciplines.

Previously, CITC-VI was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 5-7, 2011. 150 participants from 30 different countries attended the conference and over 200 papers were published in the conference proceedings. The conference provided an excellent forum for discussing diverse issues facing the construction industry at the beginning of this century. The conference had a broad scope and covered wide ranging topics. These topics were organized around:

  • Construction Project Management
  • Cost Engineering and Financial Issues
  • Information Technology and Information Systems in Construction
  • Construction Technology
